Dogsledding Drive your own dogsled at Brändön
Husky tours are a fantastic winter activity in Lulea.
Close to Brändön, just to the north of Luleå is Bothnia Sled Dog Adventures. They look forward to taking you on a fantastic adventure in our beautiful winter landscape. You and a partner will learn to take control of a husky team and drive them on a forest and lakes trail. You will take turns with one sitting on the Sled and one driving and periodically swapping places if you like. This is a small family owned kennel and you will of course spend some time with them and their wonderful huskies and appreciate life on the edge of the Luleå archipelago. The experience is 2 hours but allow a little longer. You are sure to leave you with some fantastic memories.

Transfers from central Luleå are easily arranged
Optional transfer from and back to Luleå is available for the 10 am tour. The half-hour transfer departs Luleå at approx 0900 and returns to Luleå at approx 1500 daily. While at Brändön, after your dogsled tour, you have the option to explore the walking tracks on the frozen sea, buy lunch at the log cabin restaurant, and/or hire snow shoes or cross country forest skis, or perhaps even meet and feed the reindeer.

Fika Dogsled Tour at Ale
When you come to Ale, you meet in the barbecue hut where the mutter guide will go through clothing and today's dog sledding trip. Your guides go through instructions and safety before it is time to harness and connect the dogs in the team.
The guide takes you on a dog sled ride sitting in the sled and you get to experience the nature. There is also the opportunity to take pictures during the trip. The tour ends with coffee in the barbecue hut.

Drive your own dogsled 10km at Ale
When you come to us, we meet in the barbecue hut where we go through clothing and today's dog sledding trip.
An experienced instructor / guide shows the basics and you get to learn how the sled works, how to harness and connect the dogs in the team.
When the dogs are tethered, it's time to drive away.
The guide drives first and shows the way through the forest.
We drive along existing snowmobile trails that go through forests and fields.
Throughout the tour, the Guide has supervision over you and the surroundings. All for your safety.
During the tour we stop to rest the dogs and change drivers, at the same time there is an opportunity to take pictures.
When we return from the tour, we harness the dogs and take them into the kennels.
After the dog sledding tour, hot drinks and sandwiches are served in the barbecue hut.
